February Favourites

Can I have a show of hands for who’s been enjoying this lovely weather we’ve been having recently. *Raises hand*
It’s been wonderful seeing the sun make an appearance these last few days and it’s got me feeling really positive for March. After all it is the month Springtime officially begins!

As for February, where did it go?! It was over before I knew it had begun, if you know what I mean. Anyway, February was the month for me to tighten the purse strings on the luxury makeup splurging and try some more affordable makeup (and fashion favourites) and boy am I pleased I did! So without further ado, here are my favourites for February:

Cream lace detail cropped tee, £19.99 (not on the website) – First is this lovely number from H&M! I know! Shocker! It really looks more like a Topshop piece and I’ve had a lot of compliments whenever I’ve worn it. It’s really versatile too. You can wear it with jeans, you can wear it with a skirt, you can wear dressed up, you can wear it dressed down, the options are endless. And for the price it’s an absolute bargain. Although you can never really go wrong with cream and lace, in my eyes. That’s probably what most of my wardrobe consists of!

Arrow necklace, £2.99 (not on the website, but I have seen it in store) – Next up is this necklace, which is also from H&M. I seem to be loving these sorts of necklaces recently as they’re not too over the top but add a little sometime to your outfit. I love the arrow detail on this one, it goes so well with everything.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Grand Cru, £8.99 – I can’t believe I hadn’t tried these sooner! They are so pigmented and have a lovely matte finish, but manage to remain somewhat comfortable due to the slight ‘stick’ to them (I don’t know how else to describe it). Now the reason I say somewhat comfortable is because for a few hours they are manageable but if you have super dry lips like mine and try to do a full 8 hour stint in this, your lips will curse you! But in small doses, they are wonderful. Of course I went for the berry shade!

MAC Pro Palette Refill Pan in Woodwinked, £10 – I have a feeling this has featured in my favourites previously but I have rediscovered it this month. It’s been pretty much the only thing on my eyelids. It’s just so easy to wear: apply, blend and add some sort of definition either with some liquid liner, some black or brown smudgey pencil liner and you’re done. Plus you can get so many different looks with just this one eyeshadow and it suits my complexion pretty well! I loveee this eyeshadow.

Maybelline Colour Drama Lipstick in Light It Up, £4.99 – I can’t get enough of this lipsticks. They just have such a wonderful formula for old dry lips over here. And this time I’ve gone for a lovely coral-red shade that has been so much fun to wear!

Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in No. 38 L’Amoureuse, £25 – Okay so I had one luxury beauty purchase this month, but that’s not too bad for me. This has got to be the nicest formula of a matte lipstick I have ever tried to date! Ever. Period. It’s just so soft and smooth and velvety and wonderful. I absolutely “amour” this, okay so that probably doesn’t make sense but you get my drift. It’s absolutely 100% worth the money and if I can find some other colours that suit me I will definitely splurge on some more of these lipsticks.

That concludes my ridiculously long ramblings for my February favourites.
Have you tried any of these? What are your thoughts on them? I’d love to know.
